Your input is needed

Recently I have attended graduation and birthday parties. This has got me thinking that we are so happy about graduating and/or being another year older, but why aren't we the same amount of excited just to be alive? Life is so fragile, I have had someone very close in my life diagnosed with breast cancer this week and I had surgery to repair a broken wrist 2 weeks ago. These two things are not on the same scale at all, but they both make me realize that nothing in life is guaranteed. You could be having a fantastic time doing something you have always wanted to do, all the sudden something comes along and puts an end to your life as it is in the matter of seconds.

I really think we need to come up with a way to celebrate just being alive. Thoughts on this?
